Llandudno

In this month's blog, I'd like to welcome you to Llandudno.

During our family holiday with Jade and Bella, we had a great time exploring Great Orme, taking photos of the goats, stunning landscapes, and enjoying the great outdoors. One of my goals was to witness the sunrise over the town from Great Orme.

The trip was a beautiful getaway, and we always enjoy coming back here - the food, the views, the fresh air, and the sea breeze. Trying the local cuisine is always a highlight for us, from enjoying a hearty breakfast and hot chocolate to having an evening meal in a local pub with delicious homemade food and quality local ale.

‘Sunrise’ over Llandudno.

We set off for Great Orme to catch the sunrise, leaving the hotel at around 5:30 am. Although the sunrise was not as spectacular as we had hoped, the early start led to a morning of adventure, exploring the hilltop, observing the windmills and boats in the distance, the clouds drifting over the mountains, and the wildlife. After a morning of exploration, we returned to town for breakfast and a hot chocolate to refuel, then continued to explore the pier and beach, indulging in more local food. Later, despite the wet and miserable weather, we enjoyed watching the clouds move over the town while exploring Little Orme on the opposite side of the beach for sunset.

The shroom that started it all.

One of my favorite moments from the trip was stumbling upon a small mushroom! Though I had never paid much attention to mushrooms before, I spent hours lying on the ground, discovering various types and playing with the scenery and background. Eventually, I found a green/brown earthy-looking mushroom that was pretty cool! It has now become a tradition for us to hunt for mushrooms, and I even have a dedicated album for them. The image of the mushroom that started it all is now proudly displayed in our living room, printed on beautiful textured Fujifilm silk paper, giving it a furry textured look.
